Elle apportera des connaissances concernant le web, les r\u00e9seaux sociaux, mais aussi l\u2019archivage du web, domaine indispensable pour les \u00e9tudes en ligne. Cet apport th\u00e9orique sera associ\u00e9 \u00e0 des mises en pratique fond\u00e9es sur les outils et m\u00e9thodes correspondant aux besoins de chaque doctorante ou doctorant. Enfin, cette formation permettra de conna\u00eetre les services disponibles sur notre territoire en la mati\u00e8re, depuis la m\u00e9diath\u00e8que de la MMSH (WebLab, poste de consultation INA) jusqu\u2019\u00e0 l\u2019Alcazar (acc\u00e8s aux archives web de la BNF) et \u00e0 la d\u00e9l\u00e9gation r\u00e9gionale de l\u2019INA. Des intervenantes et intervenants des institutions nationales et internationales seront aussi invit\u00e9s \u00e0 partager leur expertise en visio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Programme :<\/strong><br>Qu\u2019il s\u2019agisse de chercher ponctuellement une information compl\u00e9mentaire, de constituer un corpus, de pallier des difficult\u00e9s d\u2019acc\u00e8s au terrain, ou bien d\u2019\u00e9tudier les pratiques num\u00e9riques des soci\u00e9t\u00e9s, le recours \u00e0 des documents issus du web ou des r\u00e9seaux socionum\u00e9riques dans le cadre de la th\u00e8se est d\u00e9sormais courant. Pour autant, l\u2019appr\u00e9hension du web pr\u00e9sent, ou du web pass\u00e9 gr\u00e2ce aux archives du web, impose une vigilance accrue dans la constitution du corpus, les m\u00e9thodes d\u2019analyse et la d\u00e9marche interpr\u00e9tative. De plus, face au risque de disparition des pages web du fait de l\u2019instabilit\u00e9 de ces environnements complexes, il est indispensable d\u2019avoir la capacit\u00e9 de conserver ces corpus en ligne dans le cadre de sa th\u00e8se.<br><br>5 jours de formation de 4 h :<br>S\u00e9ance 1<br>* Int\u00e9r\u00eat, limites et d\u00e9fis du web comme source ou terrain pour les SHS.<br>* S\u00e9minaire du WebLab (2h)&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>S\u00e9ance 2<br>* Palette m\u00e9thodologique pour l\u2019appr\u00e9hension du web vivant ou archiv\u00e9.<br>* Mise en pratique 1 : d\u00e9finition des besoins, \u00e9laboration d\u2019une premi\u00e8re feuille de route.<br><br>S\u00e9ance 3<br>* Constituer un corpus issu du web vivant et ou archiv\u00e9.<br>* Mise en pratique 2 : savoir constituer et analyser un corpus issu du web vivant ou archiv\u00e9 pour ma th\u00e8se.<br><br>S\u00e9ance 4<br>* Collecter et conserver un corpus de pages web avec Webrecorder.<br>* Mise en pratique 3 : savoir p\u00e9renniser un corpus issu du web vivant pour ma th\u00e8se (constitution d\u2019une collection et restitution collective).<br><br>S\u00e9ance 5<br>* Mise en pratique 4 : savoir constituer, p\u00e9renniser et analyser un corpus issu du web vivant ou archiv\u00e9 pour ma th\u00e8se.<br><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Pr\u00e9-requis :<\/strong><br>4h x 5 s\u00e9ances<br>Mat\u00e9riel n\u00e9cessaire : venir avec son ordinateur portable<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Equipe p\u00e9dagogique :<\/strong><br>Sophie Gebeil (UMR7303 TELEMMe, AMU-CNRS, IUF, WebLab). Les personnes inscrites en pr\u00e9sentiel seront prioritaires pour l\u2019acc\u00e8s \u00e0 la salle et b\u00e9n\u00e9ficieront d\u2019un accompagnement personnalis\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"EN\">Doctoral Training: The Web as a Source or Field in Social Sciences and Humanities<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p>_________________________________________________________________________<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The WebLab is hosting the doctoral training program offered by ED 355, \u201cThe Web as a Source or Field in the Social Sciences and Humanities: Learning to Use the Live or Archived Web in Your Doctoral Research,\u201d from November 27, 2025, to February 12, 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Registration <a href=\"https:\/\/adum.fr\/script\/formations.pl?mod=3721468&amp;site=CDAMU\">link <\/a>on ADUM: <a href=\"https:\/\/adum.fr\/script\/formations.pl?mod=3721468&amp;site=CDAMU\">https:\/\/adum.fr\/script\/formations.pl?mod=3721468&amp;site=CDAMU<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Objectives<\/strong>: <br>This training aims to provide a theoretical and methodological framework for doctoral students in social sciences and humanities who plan to explore the live or archived web as part of their dissertation research. It will offer knowledge about the web, social networks, and web archiving, an essential field for online studies. This theoretical foundation will be paired with practical sessions based on tools and methods tailored to the individual needs of each doctoral student.<br>Additionally, the training will introduce available local services, from the MMSH media library (WebLab, INA consultation station) to the Alcazar library (access to the BnF\u2019s web archives) and the regional office of INA. Experts from national and international institutions will also be invited to share their expertise remotely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Program<\/strong>:<br>Whether seeking occasional supplementary information, building a corpus, overcoming difficulties accessing the field, or studying the digital practices of societies, using web or social media documents in doctoral research is now common. However, engaging with the live web, or the past web via archives, requires careful attention when compiling corpora, choosing analysis methods, and adopting interpretive approaches.<br>Moreover, due to the risk of web pages disappearing because of the unstable nature of these complex environments, it is essential for doctoral candidates to know how to preserve these online corpora within their theses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Five 4-hour Training Sessions:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Session 1<\/strong><br>* Interest, limitations, and challenges of the web as a source or field for Social Science and Humanities.<br>* WebLab seminar (2 hours)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Session 2<\/strong><br>* Methodological toolkit for approaching the live or archived web.<br>* Practical exercise 1: defining needs and developing a preliminary roadmap.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Session 3<\/strong><br>* Building a corpus from the live and\/or archived web.<br>* Practical exercise 2: how to compile and analyze a corpus from the live or archived web for your thesis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Session 4<\/strong><br>* Collecting and preserving a corpus of web pages using Webrecorder.<br>* Practical exercise 3: how to preserve a corpus from the live web for your thesis (creating a collection and collective restitution).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Session 5<\/strong><br>* Practical exercise 4: how to compile, preserve, and analyze a corpus from the live or archived web for your thesis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Prerequisites<\/strong><br>* Five sessions of 4 hours each<br>* Required equipment: bring your own laptop<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Teaching Team<\/strong><br>* Sophie Gebeil (UMR7303 TELEMMe, AMU-CNRS, IUF, WebLab)<br>* Other invited speakers depending on availability: MMSH Media Library, INA, BnF, Alcazar, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Teaching Methodology<\/strong><br>The training combines theoretical input linked to the WebLab seminar with guided and personalized practical workshops.
